Session Notes - April 5, 2009 Session

This session marked the thirty-fourth week of NSA Club #565 (Northwest)'s 2008-2009 season!

The goodies table today featured the usual selection of chips, newtons, some chocolate, some salsa from Karen Lundeen, grapes from Sarah Jacobson and some cheese and crackers. Thanks to all who provided snacks for the group.

The tournament rules division was joined by 4 players who played 32 games in which we scored 11,870 points for a 370.9375 point-per-game average. Of the 31 recorded bingos we played, four were phonies that went unchallenged.

Some numbers and whatnot for the tournament session include:

Some interesting bingos:

We featured two regular contests this week.

The first was the "X" Marks The Pot Contest awarded to the player who turned in the highest scoring play of a word that contains the letter "X". Ed Saunders exulted in his win after playing the 68 point phony exulters to claim the $3.00 prize.

The second was the Low Win Contest for the lowest winning score turned in during this session. Karen Lundeen snapped up the $3.00 prize with a 346 point win.

The 100+ Play Progressive Jackpot fell to the double-barrelled assault of Richard Spence (JAZZERS for 123) and Ed Saunders (SQUINTER for 104). Richard and Ed split the $2.24 prize.

The 9+ Bingo Progressive Jackpot was claimed by Richard Spence with an 80 pt play of TOLERATES through the opening "TO". Richard scores $2.99 for the play.

Ed's $4.12 winnings were donated back to the club kitty.

No one cashed in on any of the other Progressive Jackpots this week and each shall have $0.75 added to it. We have paid out $356.13 in prizes this season. Click here for a complete list of prizes awarded during the 2008-2009 season.
