| 1 | No Games This Week |
This session marked the fifth week of NSA Club #565's 2008-2009 season!
In our second full season as a two-tiered club with both a Recreational
and a separate Tournament Rules Division, there will continue to be some
tweaking done as the Recreational Division develops.
No recreational division games were played this week. Click
here for a roster of Recreational Players
In the Tournament session, we were joined by 5 tournament division players who played 22 games in which we scored 7,449 points for a 338.59 points per game average. Of the 20 recorded bingos we played, none were phonies that went unchallenged.
Some numbers and whatnot for this tournament session include:
Some interesting bingos:
We featured two regular contests this week
The first regular contest was the Mind Your "Q"s Contest for the highest scoring play of a word that contains the letter "Q" somewhere within it. Mickey Matz thought he had the leader with his 72 point play of QAID, but Ed Saunders said "Hold your horses there, Mick", and took an 87 point ride on his EQUINES to corral the $3.75 prize.
The second regular contest was the "I, I, I" What A Contest for the highest scoring play of a word that contains two or more of the letter "I" somewhere within it. Ed Saunders wanted to INSPIRE, but had to play SPINIER instead for 79 points and another $3.75.
Ed's $7.50 winnings will be donated back to the club kitty.
No one cashed in on any of the Progressive Jackpots this week and each shall
have $0.93 added to it. We have paid out a total of $42.36 in prizes during
the 2008-2009 season. Click
here for a complete list of prizes awarded during the 2008-2009 season.
