Session Notes - 16 November 2006 Session
This session marked the third of NSA Club #565's 2006-2007 season!
We were joined by 6 players who played 15 games in which we scored 11,485 points for a 765.6667 point-per-game average. Of the 35 recorded bingos we played, only 1 was a phony that went unchallenged.
Some numbers and whatnot for this session include:
- High Game - 527 points by Lewis Saul
- Low Win - 376 points by Josh Kassel
- High Loss - 390 points by Judy Carlock (Opponent at 394)
- Bingo King - Ed Saunders for averaging 1.6667 bingos per game

We featured three contests this session. The first was the Low Win Loss Contest for the lowest scoring losing score, which Lewis Saul claimed with a 278 game. The second was the Double High Consonant Prize for the highest scoring word that utilized two consonants in a row that are worth more than one point. Naurlene Canterman had the only two entries and wins this with a heavenly play of RABBIS for 23 points. And, last but not least, was the "Power Blank" contest for the highest scoring play of a word that used a blank designated as a power tile. Lewis Saul won this with a nice find of ENjOINED.
Lewis Saul snagged the 100+ Point Progressive Jackpot with AZURITES for 104 points and takes home a $2.80 prize. The remaining three jackpots shall each have $1.12 added to it. Finally, the last session featuring the "First Two Letters Alphabet Bingo Contest" saw one player score. Ed Saunders will take first place with 23 points, Lewis Saul takes second with 17 points, and Josh Kassel takes 3rd with 11 points. They win $13, $8, and $5, respectively. The next session (30 November) shall feature the following contests:
•Beat You By a Bingo Contest - Bingos pay off! A quarter of dues awarded shall be awarded to the player who wins a game by the bonus score of a bingo (50 points) or closest to 50 points without going over it.
•Double High Consonant Prize - A quarter of dues awarded shall be awarded to the player who turns in the highest scoring play of a word that uses two consonants in a row that are worth more than one point each (e.g., ACCURATE, COBBLED, AFFABLE, etc.). To qualify for this contest you must play at least one of the two repeating consonants.
•Triple-Triple Progressive Jackpot* - $1.12 plus an eighth of the session's dues will be awarded to any player who scores a Triple-Triple play.
•100+ Play Progressive Jackpot* - An eighth of the session's dues will be awarded to any player who scores 100 or more points in a single play
•Club 565 Progressive Jackpot - $9.71 plus an eighth of the session's dues will be awarded to any player who scores 565 or more points in a single game.
•9+ Bingo Progressive Jackpot* - $6.28 plus an eighth of the session's dues will be awarded to any player who plays a bingo of 9 or more letters in length.
