+ Session NotesThis was our 46th session of the 2003-2004 season. We played a total of 29 games in which we scored a total of 21,591 points for a 744.5 points-per-game average. We played 73 bingos this session. Of those bingos, 5 were phonies that went unchallenged. As of this session, we have paid out $1112.02 in prizes for the 2003-2004 season; click here for the list of winners! Since this was the last session of September, club rankings for any player who played an average of three or more games per session during the month of September are available as well. Some numbers and other oddness for the session include: Nathan Benedict was top player of the session with a perfect 5-0 scorecard. This week saw two birthdays and two birthday contests. Monique Kornell had her birthday on September 27, and Lewis Saul celebrated his on September 30. As is such we featured two contests to honor them. The first was the Lewis Saul Birthday Contest for the highest-scoring play beginning with an L or an S. The entrants included: LEASING (Josh Kassel), LEGENDS (Naurlene Canterman), LOCATERS (Jake Jacobs), SEDUCES (Ed Saunders), SENTIENT (Dan Forrest), SLOWING (Monique Kornell), SPATTING (Robert Yarmchuk), SQUARES (Lewis Saul), and SUBLIME (Nathan Benedict). While Nathan's entry was a sublime 98 points, the winner of his own birthday contest is Lewis Saul with his entry scoring in at 108 points. The next contest was the Monique Kornell Birthday Contest for the highest-scoring play beginning with an M or aK. These being slightly less bingo-prone tiles, we only had two bingos submitted as entries: MARTINI (Josh Kassel) and MOUNTAIN (Dan Forrest). Josh won this contest with 82 points scored. Both he and Lewis take home $8.25 prizes (although Josh might take that prize and treat Monique to a birthday MARTINI). Two of the progressive jackpot prizes were won this session. As noted above, Lewis Saul scored 108 points with his 108-point play of SQUARES and therefore wins not only his own birthday contest but the 100+ Play Jackpot prize of $2.06). Nathan Benedict picked up the $4.31 9+ Bingo Jackpot with a 9-letter bingo of ANIMATION. The amount of $2.06 will be added to the other roll-over jackpots, which went unclaimed. The next Session (7 September) will feature the following
