+ Session NotesThis was our second session of the season. We were joined by 12 players, including Rex Kremer, who has been on a Scrabble hiatus. We played 26 Games in which 19,605 points were scored for a 754.038 points-per-game average. We played 67 bingos this session. Of those bingos, 4 were phonies that went unchallenged. Not one, but TWO folks nailed Triple-Triple plays this session. Monique Kornell started out with the first Triple-Triple play of the season: VEILINGS for 158 points. Jake Jacobs went on to lay down ALIENATE for 131 points later that evening. Monique and Jake will split the Triple-Triple Jackpot prize of $6.06. Jake Jacobs was the evening's top player despite only having time for one game in which he turned in a win with 3 bingos. This also established him as Bingo King for the session. The most unusual play of the evening was a beautiful consonant dump of NUDZH (a variant spelling of NOODGE -- to nag), played through an existing U for 36 points by Lewis Saul. The prize for Low Win goes to Judith Whitcomb for a 356 point victory. Finally, the "'V' is for Victory" contest for the highest play containing a V goes to Monique Kornell for her aforementioned triple-triple play of VEILINGS. Judith and Monique both take home $8.50 prizes. Four people scored in The Double Bingo Contest, and Lewis Saul has a tentative lead with 3 points; click here for standings. The Triple-Triple jackpot was the only one won this session, and it reverts to zero. The other three jackpot prizes will have $2.25 added to each. Next Session (20 November) will feature the following contests: + Bingos by PlayerBelow are the bingos played during the 06 November 2003 session at National Scrabble Association Club #565. Phony bingos are listed in red lower case. Brent Aronson - 2 Bingos
