+ Session NotesThis was our 29th session of the season. We were joined by 8 players including Lewis Saul, who rejoined us after a hiatus of some time and proved that while absence makes the heart grow fonder, it doesn't really hurt the overall performance of a strong Scrabble player. We played a total of 22 games in which we scored a total of 15,864 points for a 721.1 points-per-game average. We played 50 bingos this session. Of those bingos, 8 -- an embarrassingly high number -- of them were phonies that went unchallenged. As of this session, we have paid out $727.33 in prizes; click here for the list of winners! Some numbers and other oddness for the session include: Ed Saunders turned in a perfect score card and was the session's top player. Dan Forrest scooped the "June Moon" contest with the closest word that rhymes with June: RUNE for only 4 points, spending a blank on it. The other prize of the evening went to Yusupha Jow for turning in the bingo of ATTACKS for 78 points, which won him the "Special K" contest for the highest-scoring play using the K tile. Other notable entries in this contest included HONKIE for 60 points (played by Naurlene Canterman), ZEKS for 41 points (played by Ed Saunders), and BIKE for 35 points (played by Joshua Kassel). Both Dan and Yus win $6 prizes. $1.50 is added to each of the progressive Jackpot Prizes as none of these were
claimed. + Bingos by PlayerBelow are the bingos played during the 03 June 2004 session at National Scrabble Association Club #565. Phony bingos are listed in red lower case. Naurlene
