This was our 33rd session of the season. We were joined by an intimate group of 6 players who played a total of 18 games in which we scored an even total of 12,905 points for a 716.9 points-per-game average. We played 47 bingos this session. Of those bingos, six were phonies that went unchallenged. Some numbers and other oddness for the session include:

Lewis Saul was the top player for a second session in a row, turning in a 5-1 +320 scorecard. The contests for the evening were the "W Contest" for the highest-scoring play using the W tile. Joshua Kassel snagges it with a 78-point opening play of WOOLIER. Our second contest was the 4th of July Contest for the highest-scoring play of a word that could be related to the 4th of July holiday. The entries for this contest were:
- INVITES for 91 points, played by Joshua Kassel: "I sent out INVITES to my 4th of July party."
- RESIZING for 90 points, played by Lewis Saul: "The 4th of July committee was RESIZING the event schedule."
- GLINTERS* for 74 points, played by Monique Kornell: "The fireworks were GLINTERS*."
- WIENIES, for 69 points, played by Naurlene Canterman: "WEINIES for the cookout on the 4th."
The entries were read aloud to our official, nonbiased judge (my wife, who was coincidentally putting on a red, white, and blue dress in preparation for an upcoming trip to a pal's house for a 4th of July cookout). After careful contemplation, she declared Naurlene Canterman's entry the winner. She also agrees that Making fun of Monique for using a phony word in a sentence is acceptable. Both Josh and Naurlene take home prizes of $4.50.

One of the progressive jackpots was won. Turning in his highhest-ever recorded play, Dan Forrest wins the 100+ Play Jackpot for a 101-point phony of JOCKIED.* Dan takes home $4.50. The other three progressive jackpots will each have $1.12 added to them.

- High Win - A prize will be awarded to the person with the highest winning score. (~a quarter of dues collected)
Liberty Bell Contest- On July 8, 1776, the Liberty Bell rang out to summon citizens to the first ever reading of the Declaration of Independence. A prize will be awarded to the player who makes the highest-scoring play of any word related to this event (e.g., BELL, LIBERTY, READING, etc.). Be creative. If you can justify a word you played as being related to this event in a sentence, we may very well accept it as an entry.   (~a quarter of dues collected)
- Triple-Triple Jackpot - $1.12 plus an eighth of the evening's dues will be awarded to any player(s) who scores a  Triple-Triple Play. Note this cannot be combined with the 100+ Play Jackpot.
100+ Play Jackpot - An eighth of the evening's dues will be awarded to any player(s) who scores 100 or more points in a single play. Note this cannot be combined with the Triple-Triple Jackpot.
- 600 Jackpot - $19.11 plus an eighth of the evening's dues will be awarded to the player to any player(s) who score 600 or more points in a game.
- 9+ Bingo Jackpot -$1.12 plus an eighth of the evening's dues will be awarded to any player(s) who scores a bingo containing nine or more letters.
